Questions

Do I have to change my code?

Usually not. Your Procfile works as it is, and there's nothing new to add to your repo.

Why is there no free tier?

Servers cost money, and no investors are paying for yours. We're bootstrapped, so everyone pays a fair price for what they run. That's how we stay around.

What happens to my Heroku Postgres database?

It can stay where it is while you move. Point your app at it from Primcloud and move it when you're ready. Heroku can rotate its credentials, so keep the connection details current.

When should I stay on Heroku?

If you need your host to run your database, hand you compliance reports or serve from Europe, or you depend on Heroku Connect or an add-on you can't get elsewhere. Otherwise, there isn't much keeping you there.
