Java
Deploy Java apps on the JVM: Maven and Gradle projects, Spring Boot, Micronaut, Quarkus, and plain JAR entry points.
On this page
Primcloud deploys Java and other JVM-language apps built with Maven or Gradle. Detection triggers when the root of your repo holds a Maven POM (pom.xml, or a polyglot POM) or a Gradle build file (build.gradle, settings.gradle, build.gradle.kts, settings.gradle.kts). OpenJDK is installed as an Azul Zulu build, defaulting to the latest LTS when you don't pin a version.
Spring Boot, Micronaut, and Quarkus are ordinary Maven or Gradle projects here. There's no framework adapter to install. You build a runnable JAR and launch it with a Procfile at the repo root, the same way every language on Primcloud declares its processes. Spring Boot and WildFly Swarm apps get a default web process even without a Procfile.
What's in this section#

system.properties. - Package managers: Maven and Gradle behavior, wrappers, private repositories, and lockfiles.
- Customizing the build: build hooks, custom goals and tasks, native dependencies, private CAs, and Debian packages.
- Troubleshooting Java: common build and runtime errors with fixes.
